The House of Poutine
The brand owns three poutineries in France. There are two in Paris and another in Toulouse. The latter is known for being the mecca of street food in France.
The adventure of this renowned establishment begins when its chef (Erwan Caradec) taste poutine in CanadaHe enjoys this Quebec specialty and decides to work on his recipes when he returns to France.
The first establishment opened its doors in 2017 and the brand won the “Best Poutine in the International category” award two years in a row during the “Montreal Poutine Week” editions in 2019 and 2022.
La Maison de la Poutine - as its name suggests - specializes in the preparation of this Canadian dish. It serves the original version and variations that are not lacking in originality. As a reminder, it is a generous portion of fries, served with a brown sauce and typically Canadian cheese curds.
The establishment offers other versions of poutine. For example, we find “La Bûcheronne” with its bacon and onions or “la Coquette” and its sliced chicken. Also find ““La Trappeur” and its pork meat cooked in maple syrup with his popcorn.
The House also offers a vegetarian sauce with the Boréale. This variation of poutine is served with cranberries.
La Maison de la Poutine makes its own cheese curds in its dairy. It provides delivery service on demand.

Bison Dream
For lunch or dinner in a Canadian spirit and a totally exotic setting, you can go to this original address. The restaurant is nestled in a theme park around Canada, which also serves as an animal park. As its name suggests, “Rêve de Bisons” mainly offers dishes based on bison meat. The latter is served and prepared on site, following Canadian recipes and techniques.
As you will have understood, the dishes on the menu mainly contain bison. As a starter, the establishment offers rillettes or even bison terrine. On the fast food side, you can order a bison and bacon poutine or a bison hamburger. Lovers of carnivorous dishes can treat themselves to a beautiful bison entrecôte. Children are not left out. The ground steak and the baby hamburger offer them their first taste experience of bison meat. Finish the family meal with a nice three or five scoops of ice cream. And why not treat yourself to a Canadian dessert like the Royal Chocolate Pecan or the Nougat Caramel Cheesecake?
Rêve de Bisons is located in the Prieuré du Bois de la Belle in Muchedent, Seine-Maritime. To get there by road, take the A28 from or the D49 from Dieppe.
Maple, poutines of love
A second establishment of the same name will open in Pontoise at the beginning of 2022.
It serves Poutine of course, but also other snacks like hot dogs and hamburgers. The restaurants are run by the Gauteur siblings, three brothers who have long been immersed in Canadian culture.
They naturally wanted to make Canadian dishes and gastronomy known in France. Working as a chef in Canada, their father sent them a chef who would train them in the country's cuisine.
Here again, poutine remains the star of the menu. You can enjoy La Poutine Classique or the famous “Crevettine” with its shrimp and its little white sauce. The latter is prepared with fish stock.
Cheese lovers will delight in the camembec with its cheese curds, its camembert and its maple syrup.
As for burgers, don't miss their smoked meats prepared with good smoked beef.
L'Érable also provides delivery.
