The best accompaniments for pork ribs with maple syrup
You can serve these “ribs” very well on their own, but they are also delicious with sides. For a no-fail, prepare mashed potato or mashed cauliflower on the side. They are even more delicious with a hint of nutmeg and full cream. You can also cook jacket potatoes in unsalted water to go with pork ribs.
If you prefer raw vegetables, bet on a salad of minced red cabbage, white cabbage, carrots and green apples. A nice salad with lettuce, strips of pepper and cherry tomatoes can also bring the touch of freshness. Prepare a vinaigrette with raspberry vinegar to keep it sweet. If you want to break the sweetness of the rib sauce, use lemon juice in the vinaigrette. As for cooked vegetables, you can serve sautéed green beans with garlic or simply peas cooked in salted water.
