Pecan and maple syrup cake recipe
What's better than a tasty pecan and maple syrup cake for a unique culinary experience. Tender and sweet, this dessert will delight the most demanding taste buds. Here is his recipe.
History
Pecan cake comes from North America. Indeed, it is on this continent that pecans were cultivated several centuries ago. According to several books, pecans were transported to Illinois by the first residents of North America. A few years later, the pecan cake recipe was born.
The original recipe first appeared in a book in the 1970s and 1980s when it was a Texas cookbook.
A few decades later, in 1898, an almost similar recipe was discovered in a recipe book from a church charity. This book was allegedly submitted by a Texan, which made pecan cake the official state dessert of Texas since 2013.

Preparation
The preparation of the pecan and maple syrup cake is done in two steps. The first is to cook the maple cake.
To start, take the butter and put it in a bowl. Then beat it until it becomes very creamy. Then, add the eggs one by one, making sure to beat them well after each addition. Then add the vanilla and milk, and beat the mixture again.
In another bowl, sift together the baking powder, flour, ginger, and salt. Then beat at low speed. Then, add the dry ingredients to the maple syrup in three batches. Stop only when the dough is smooth.
After that, stir in the pecans and spread the batter into a cake pan. Flour, then butter.
All that remains is to bake the cake. To do this, preheat the oven to 180°C. Cooking should last around 40 minutes. Once cooked, let cool for 10 minutes. Then move on to step two.
This involves preparing the creamy maple sauce.
Take a heavy-bottomed saucepan, then add the brown sugar, cream and maple syrup. Then bring to the boil, stirring occasionally. Then, reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for a few minutes. When the sauce seems quite reduced, remove from the heat.
Note that you can prepare the sauce in advance. Just store it well in the refrigerator. In general, this sauce can be stored for a week.
