Maple apple butter
INGREDIENTS :
- 8 apples, peeled, cores removed, and cut into large pieces
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) Maple syrup (grade B syrup may be suitable, the taste is more pronounced)
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) butter
PREPERATION :
- Combine everything in a saucepan and cook over medium heat on the stove for about 30 to 45 minutes, until the apples are tender and falling apart.
- Puree using a blender
- Pour into sterilized jars (similar method to jams) or simply freeze. Keep refrigerated.
