Questions and responses

The third nougat in the trio: same soft maple syrup base, but this time with dried wild Quebec blueberries. Rounder and fruitier than the cranberry, less tart — the most typically Lac-Saint-Jean version. Like the others, 90 g format to enjoy or give.

The plain maple nougat is round, gentle, classic. The cranberry nougat is tangy and tart. The blueberry plays in a deeper sweet-fruity register — less aggressive than the cranberry, more fragrant than the plain. If you're hesitating, it's often the most consensual of the three: everyone likes it.

Like its cousins: dry, at room temperature, in its wrapper. No fridge, no heat. Eat it within the week after opening. Texture: soft and chewy with the dried blueberries bringing small fleshy, fruity touches rather than tart bursts. Very balanced.

Allergens: almonds (tree nuts) and eggs (whites). Gluten-free, lactose-free, not vegan. Health-wise, wild Quebec blueberries are an antioxidant bomb (anthocyanins) — top 5 most antioxidant fruits in the world. The nougat is still sweet, but the blueberry adds its share of good stuff.

The blueberry is Quebec's emblematic fruit — every piece of this nougat tells a corner of Lac-Saint-Jean. At the counter we often suggest it as a "discover Quebec" gift for someone who's never tried our products. With a smoky Lapsang Souchong tea, the pairing is unbeatable.

Same artisan constraints as the other nougats — 24 h rest, pure maple syrup, whole almonds. But wild Lac-Saint-Jean blueberries cost 3x more than cultivated ones. So the price ticks up a notch. You're paying for the Quebec terroir twice: maple AND blueberry, no compromise.
