Description

A goldsmith's recipe

Unibroue continues to innovate by combining its historical base of white beer with premium ingredients. Here, the raspberry brings its fruity brightness while the black tea infuses an unexpected depth, creating a drink that is both thirst-quenching and structured.

Sensory profile: Between indulgence and character

  • On the nose: A bouquet dominated by fresh raspberry, underscored by woody and slightly smoky notes from black tea.

  • In the mouth: The attack is marked by fruit, offering a lovely natural acidity. Black tea emerges mid-palate, bringing a slight astringency and a complexity that balances the sweetness of the berry. The finish is dry, clean, and very refreshing.

Why try it?

Its format 355 ml In fact, it's a drink of choice for those seeking an elegant alternative to overly sweet, classic fruit beers. Its complexity brings it almost closer to a high-end cocktail or alcoholic iced tea, while retaining the soul of a true wheat beer.

The sommelier's advice: Serve it very chilled, between 4°C and 6°CServe in a flute glass or wine glass to showcase its color. It pairs wonderfully with dark chocolate desserts, duck salads, or a platter of fine charcuterie.

Questions and responses

BdC Raspberry and Black Tea from Unibroue is the wheat ale infused with raspberry and black tea at about 5% ABV, bottle-conditioned. Hazy pinkish robe, pale-pink head, notes of fresh raspberry, black-tea tannins and a citrus touch. An original, refined beer, halfway between fruit beer and iced tea.

Where the Apricot is juicy and the Clementine-Chamomile floral, the Raspberry-Black Tea brings a unique tannic dimension from black tea. The secret: raspberry provides the fruitiness, black tea structures and adds an almost wine-like depth. The most complex of the fruity BdCs.

Store the bottle upright, away from light, at 10-15°C. Bottle conditioning = natural sediment, normal. Serve chilled (5-7°C) in a tulip or coupe glass to admire the pink colour. Drink young (within the year), for raspberry freshness.

~5% ABV, drink in moderation. Contains wheat and gluten (barley + wheat) — not for coeliacs. Lactose-free, GMO-free. Contains caffeine (black tea) — avoid late in the day if sensitive. Avoid for pregnant women and drivers.

BdC Raspberry-Black Tea brightens sweet-and-savoury dishes: duck breast with red fruits, strawberry-and-goat-cheese salad, foie gras, game with berries. Dessert: chocolate fondant, red-fruit panna cotta, raspberry tart. Also superb with a plate of aged cheeses.

It's a fruity Unibroue wheat ale imported from Quebec, bottle-conditioned (a long process), with added real raspberry and black tea. The price includes transatlantic shipping, alcohol taxes and the Unibroue signature. A seasonal limited edition whose aromatic complexity justifies the price.
