St-Ambroise Apricot from Mcauslan brewery (Montréal) is the apricot fruit ale at about 5% ABV. Slightly hazy golden robe, white head, notes of fresh apricot pulp, pale malt and a tangy touch. A beer to drink in the sun, refreshing and fruity.
BdC Apricot Unibroue is a bottle-conditioned wheat ale, more delicate. St-Ambroise Apricot is a more structured blonde ale, with more malt body. The secret: Mcauslan goes for fruity generosity, the apricot is fuller and more present. More accessible, ideal for a wider audience.
Store the bottle upright, away from light, at 10-15°C. Serve very chilled (4-6°C) in a pint or tulip glass to bring out the apricot. Drink young (within the year), for natural fruitiness.
~5% ABV, drink in moderation. Contains gluten (barley, malt) — not for coeliacs. Lactose-free, GMO-free, natural apricot aroma. Avoid for pregnant women and drivers.
St-Ambroise Apricot brightens sweet-and-savoury dishes: chicken with apricot, duck breast, warm goat cheese salad, glazed ham. Dessert: apricot tart, panna cotta, peach sorbet. Also perfect for aperitif with cured ham, melon and fresh cheese.
It's a fruity Mcauslan ale imported from Quebec, brewed in Montréal with natural apricot aroma. The price includes transatlantic shipping, alcohol taxes and the Montréal signature. More accessible than a BdC Apricot Unibroue, ideal to discover another iconic Quebec brewery.
