BdC Clementine and Chamomile from Unibroue is the classic wheat ale with clementine and chamomile notes at about 5% ABV, bottle-conditioned. Pale hazy robe, white head, notes of citrus zest, honey and white flowers. A delicate, soothing take on the legendary Blanche.
Classic Blanche de Chambly plays on lemon. The Clementine-Chamomile version adds the sweetness of clementine and the calming floral note of chamomile. The secret: a beer recalling a summer iced tea, more delicate than a standard wheat ale. Ideal for fans of teas and mild citrus.
Store the bottle upright, away from light, at 10-15°C. Bottle conditioning = natural sediment, normal. Serve very chilled (4-6°C) in a tulip glass to release the floral and citrus aromas. Drink young (within the year), for aromatic delicacy.
~5% ABV, drink in moderation. Contains wheat and gluten (barley + wheat) — not for coeliacs. Lactose-free, GMO-free. Natural clementine and chamomile aromas — zero junk. Avoid for pregnant women and drivers.
BdC Clementine-Chamomile brightens delicate dishes: chicken à l'orange, fish en papillote, citrus salad, fresh goat cheese. Dessert: lemon tart, financiers, butter shortbread. Also lovely at brunch with crêpes, pancakes or French toast.
It's a fruity Unibroue wheat ale imported from Quebec, bottle-conditioned (a long process), with natural clementine and chamomile-flower aromas. The price includes transatlantic shipping, alcohol taxes and the Unibroue signature. A seasonal limited edition whose rarity justifies the price.
